Mark 3:27
“No one can enter a strong man’s house and plunder his goods, unless he first binds the strong man. And then he will plunder his house.”
In this parable:
· The strongman is Satan, the god of this age (2 Corinthians 4:4).
· The strongman’s house is the kingdom of darkness, also known as “the world.”
· The strongman’s goods are non-Christians.
Within the context of this parable, Jesus was teaching that:
· He had entered the strongman’s house.
· He has power to bind all demons, including the strongman himself.
· He will plunder the strongman’s house. That is, He will redeem and save the lost!
Dear reader, only through Jesus can you be set free from bondage to Satan and sin (Colossians 1:13-14):
“(God) has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins.”
Dear reader, have you been set free? Or are you still residing in the kingdom of darkness? If you’re still in bondage to Satan and sin, then I implore you: repent of your sins and believe in the gospel of Jesus Christ (Mark 1:15)!
